No more clipping. No more sending Box Tops to school. All you need is your phone. Download the ALL-NEW Box Tops app and link your account to Suamico Elementary, shop as you normally would, then simply scan your store receipts to find participating products. The app will automatically credit your school's Box Tops earnings online.
**You can still clip them and send them to school. Physical Box Top clips are being phased out of production but may continue to be found on many products throughout the store. Send your clipped Box Tops, along with any unexpired clips you may have at home to Suamico Elementary! New Visitor Procedure
In order to ensure the safety of our students and staff, the District will now be utilizing the Raptor security software in all of our schools. Visitors and/or volunteers must present their drivers license or a photo id upon arrival in the office. It will be scanned by office personnel, and a badge printed with your picture along with the date and time. This badge must be visible while you are in the building during the school day. If you are dropping something off in the office, or signing your child in or out of school, you will not need to present your id. A new badge will be created each time you visit, so it is important to always have your photo id with you. |
FEBRUARY KINDNESS CHALLENGE:
Student Council has chosen February as the month we will be honoring kindness at Suamico Elementary. We will be doing a whole school kindness challenge and we are making some tweaks to the process this year.
Who: K-4 students
What: Kindness Challenge
When: The whole month of February
Where: Student can complete the acts of kindness in/outside of school
How: Your son/daughter will be given a bingo card with several acts of kindness on it that they will be asked to complete, in any order, over the month of February. By encouraging your child to participate in the kindness challenge they could experience physical, social, and emotional benefits and lasting character building values. It's a win/win situation for your child, classmates, and the whole school community! Once your child has completed the bingo card, please spend some time looking/talking it over with him/her and sign and return it to their teacher. When the teacher receive the completed and signed bingo card he/she will then give your child a special kindness award. Their bingo card will then be placed in a whole-grade level bin to be randomly drawn for a bigger prize and recognition over the school announcements. Ultimately, we want to encourage kindness in/outside of school. Please let me know if you have any questions about the process and thank you for your support!
Why: Because... kindness is cool! :)

FROM THE SCHOOL BOARD:
January, 2020
Learning and Growing Together at the State Education Convention
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” Nelson Mendela
The State Education Convention, sponsored in part by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB), met January 21-24 in Milwaukee and provided an opportunity for school board members and other administrators from HSSD to network, learn and share important issues related to public education in Wisconsin.
With the theme of “Expanding Your Vision,” representatives heard keynote speakers and attended breakout sessions focusing on student learning, school finances, mental health, building community relationships, just to name a few. Learning from another school board or district can open new possibilities or create a reflection on our current policies for the Howard-Suamico School District.
