Agendas will be sent ahead of each meeting! FROM YOUR SCHOOL BOARD:
Did You Know? As the Board of Education continues to review the Community Task Force recommendations, we are reminded of their work and insight into our district. The Task Force members expressed surprise at several facts about the Howard Suamico School District. For example, did you know the HSSD tax levy remains at $9.19 per $1,000 of property value for the third straight year; this is well below the state average of $9.97 per $1,000 in 2016-17. This fact demonstrates the Board’s policy of fiscal accountability to the taxpayers of our district. For more information about the Community Task Force report, please view www.hssd.k12.wi.us/referendum. If you have any questions for the Board of Education, please reach out to your team member listed below. |

TIME OUT WITH MR. MURPHY:
Calling All Suamico School Students and Families! I am pleased to announce Suamico School’s 26th Annual Jump Rope For Heart event. The event will take place at school on January 26, 29, & 30. I am also excited that this event involves the entire student body. Last year’s JRFH went very well, and I truly feel this is a great opportunity to allow all the students to get involved in this annual fun-filled and worthwhile event! The format will be as follows: The event will be held during the school day, with each classroom signing up for a one hour time slot. We will be having 350+ students taking turns going through multiple stations that will be set up in the gym. It will be a challenge, but I know the kids will do great and we will have a great experience exercising and joining the American Heart Association’s fight against heart disease and stroke! Another exciting aspect with this updated format is that everyone who wants to collect pledges will be able to do so. This will allow anyone who wants to contribute to the American Heart Association the opportunity to do so, and add to Suamico School’s running donation total, which currently stands at $185,112! Good luck Suamico! Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Also, feel free to get involved any way you would like, as everyone is welcome to attend. There are always ways to help out! Anyone interested in volunteering, please call me as well! Finally, I would like thank you for all the support you continue to give to the Suamico School Physical Education program. Sincerely, Mr. Murphy Victor Murphy Suamico Elementary Physical Education Bay Port Head Varsity Girls Track Coach Bay View 8th Grade Boys Basketball [email protected] 920-662-9857 |
