OCTOBER- SUAMICO LITERACY NEWS:
At Suamico Elementary, we love to read and we are joyful writers! We want to encourage our young readers and writers to love reading and writing at HOME as well. Students have choice in their book selections in addition to being given books that are just right for their literacy growth. Books are regularly sent home to develop a nightly habit of reading. Keeping reading relaxing and enjoyable is our first goal, then a focus on growth for each and every learner. Our hope is to partner with you to grow lifelong readers who love to read for entertainment and learning, and write for a variety of purposes. One way we celebrate and share our reading is to take snapshots and share out pictures on Twitter using the hashtag: #suamicoreads We would like to invite you to share your pictures of at-home reading too. On Facebook, you can share your pictures on the Suamico Elementary page. We know how much the kids love to share the spotlight so we look forward to seeing some at-home reading pictures too!
